International PhD Co-Advising Program (including NTU × NTU JSP): 2027 Call for Applications

A. International PhD co-advising program

• 1. Reference: The 1st Academic Affairs Meeting of the first semester of Academic Year 2025
• 2. The Office of Academic Affairs has implemented the co-advising program since 2025, with the aims of establishing an international learning and research environment for our PhD students, enhancing their global mobility after graduation, and promoting international collaboration in research and publications.
• 3. Eligible applicants：Full-time NTU faculty members.
• 4. The program includes the following
  Required: Thesis and research supervision (online or onsite supervision)
  Optional: Overseas research attachment (min. 2 months, max. 6 months)
• 5. Please refer to the program descriptions prior to applying.
• 6. Application deadline: Sunday, November 1, 2026.
• 7. Please complete the following TWO procedures to submit your application before the deadline.

B. NTU × NTU Joint Supervision Program

• 1. The first university-level joint doctoral supervision program between the two NTUs, established to deepen institutional collaboration and foster outstanding research talent. The program officially launches in 2026.
• 2. Admission quota：3 students each year
• 3. Eligibility: First- and second-year PhD students (within the first 18 months of enrollment).
• 4. Joint Supervision Requirements: The JSP focuses on research supervision. Both of the following are required:
  1) Thesis and research supervision
  2) A research attachment at NTU-SG: After passing the qualifying examination, JSP students are required to undertake a research attachment at NTU-SG for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 24 months, in compliance with NTU-TW’s academic regulations regarding the period of study.
• 5. Funding for the overseas research attachment: NTU-TW will provide JSP students with a monthly stipend of NT$45,000 for up to 12 months.
• 6. Please refer to the program descriptions prior to applying.
• 7. Application deadline: Sunday, November 1, 2026.
