【活動資訊】「Local AI 實戰工作坊 ── 從模型使用、評估到應用」第一堂【初次上手 Local AI】開放報名

「Local AI 實戰工作坊 ── 從模型使用、評估到應用」共五堂課程，主題聚焦在本地端模型的應用。課程將以macOS 27 版本的 Foundation Models framework 為出發，上手 CLI、簡單 Swift app，一路到 open weight model 使用與評估，最後把 ASR/OCR 等其他 local AI 的能力與 LLM 串接成工作流程。

從作業系統內建 AI 模型開始，逐步學習使用、開發、選擇與評估 Local AI，最後將語言、語音與影像模型組合成自己的 Local AI 工作流程。此為單堂課程報名，其他系列課程請洽課程總覽:https://www.dlc.ntu.edu.tw/2026/08/28/local-ai-workshop-overview

第 1 堂：初次上手 Local AI
【Session 1】Local AI: Hands-On with Foundation Models

💻時間：115 年 10 月 16 日 ( 五 ) 09:30-12:30

✨ 需具備基本電腦操作能力，不要求 AI 或程式開發經驗
📍 地點：校總區綜合教學館 4F 401未來教室

👉 課程介紹：

從 macOS 內建的 Foundation Models framework 開始，認識 Local AI 的能力、限制等基本觀念。實際使用 fm command-line tool 進行文字生成、資料處理與結構化輸出，並透過 shell script 組合出自己的 AI 工具。課程也會比較本地端與雲端 AI 的差異，建立模型應用的基礎概念。


✅ 課前準備：
* 建議自備 Apple silicon MacBook，記憶體 16GB 以上，並升級至 macOS 27，且 Apple Intelligence 可以正常使用。

(中心提供少量電腦借用，因數量有限，能自備裝置者優先錄取)

✨ Prerequisites: Basic computer literacy is sufficient; no prior experience with AI or programming is necessary.

► This session will be delivered in Mandarin.

👉 Introduction：Learn the basics of Local AI by exploring macOS’s built-in Foundation Models framework. Discover the capabilities and limitations of on-device AI. Hands-on practice includes using the fm command-line tool for text generation and data handling, and using shell scripts to build custom AI tools. We will also cover the differences between local and cloud-based AI to set the stage for practical model application.

✅ Preparation：
* To follow along effectively, participants are recommended to bring an Apple Silicon MacBook (with 16GB+ RAM), upgraded to macOS 27, and functional access to Apple Intelligence.

Limited loaner laptops available; BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) participants will be prioritized for admission.
